They stand there like angels adorned with halos. Yet the manner of the light which they exude and the stare which they give, suggests something else, something terrible and ominous. I can't help but be intrigued.

... took the wrong turn.
This was shot 2 weeks ago in the middle of a forgotten forest path about 45 minutes out of Palmerston North, New Zealand. After driving for over an hour for a good location to do some filming, we discovered this spot and some of the shots were begging for a strange approach - so this was born. I wanted to create a scene that was surreal, dream-like and yet also very unsettling; to imagine if you stumbled upon these creatures one day while picnicing in the harmless New Zealand bush....
